Publicis Consultants launches innovative internal communication system
PARIS -- Organizations can now enhance communication, employee performance and ultimately growth following the launch of Intranetwork News and Multilogue, two innovative new communications platforms. The two online products (www.multilogue-inn.com) are now available from Publicis Consultants, the corporate communication specialists within the worldwide Publicis Groupe.
Developed over the last 12 months, Intranetwork News is a regular video news program highlighting inspiring internal stories, delivered and accessed via the intranet. The Multilogue intranet experience cuts across time zones and geographical locations to enable large numbers of people to hold democratic discussions online.
"Maximizing the potential of human capital should be at the top of the agenda of every major organization" said Jules Prast, Executive Vice President - Global Director Corporate Communications Royal Philips Electronics, the pioneering user of this technology.
"Together with Publicis Consultants, we have leveraged the potential of the intranet to develop an internal communications strategy for Philips. It uses video news and discussion technology to capture the attention of employees and generate response in an innovative way. We have now provided Philips' employees with the tools and inspiration to move forward and achieve company goals."
Research1 shows that communication failure ranks far higher than management’s leadership incompetence or lack of commitment as a cause of incomplete strategy execution. Moreover, it is the centralized, ‘top down’ control of the information tools and messaging that compounds the problem2.
"Multilogue and Intranetwork News tackle these issues head-on" explained Jan van Ingen, Managing Director, Publicis Consultants | Van Sluis in the Netherlands. "The 'top-down' approach to internal communication has proven inadequate in making strategy clear and relevant to employees. It has also hampered management in its efforts to build an image of trust and credibility among employees. Our new platforms are built upon a more participatory paradigm that delivers an interactive and engaging experience to inspire and empower employees to achieve company and personal goals more effectively."
Multilogue and Intranetwork News can be used as stand-alone or interrelated systems. Software for running Multilogues was developed together with Haarlem-based E-mark.
