Client: Cercle de l'Industrie
Agency: Publicis Consultants |Belgium

+ Issue
The Cercle de l'Industrie is a French association that monitors and addresses key issues facing its various manufacturing-industry members. As a client since 1995, the association came to Publicis Consultants | for a global communication program in addition to long-term lobbying strategies to raise awareness among key publics about important issues facing large manufacturing companies.

+ Strategic Idea
The client team in Brussels set out to build a communications structure from the inside out - one that would support smooth operating channels and facilitate issue tracking, intelligence gathering and monitoring of legislative developments.

+ Implementation
To address key European issues, Publicis Consultants | created and disseminated a monthly newsletter targeting the members of the association, opinion leaders, and decision-makers. The Brussels team also provided staff to coordinate and follow-up on all priorities and initiatives, serving as a liaison with other trade associations and think-tanks to represent the association at the national and EU level. Additionally, the client team provided political and strategic counsel, drafted position papers, and organized events (dinner debates, regular thematic meetings, Industry Days).

+ Results
More than 100 information and alert newsletters were disseminated by the Brussels team. Hundreds of interviews with French and European decision-makers, more than 20 high-profile debates, events, and dinners contributed to establishing the Cercle de l'Industrie as the watch-dog for France's manufacturing industry.
